Ordering, Payment Methods, Taxes, and Returns

To Order

As you browse our site you will notice that some baskets have "buy" buttons while others have "order" links. Baskets marked with a "buy" button are available for immediate purchase through the web site. Baskets with an "order" link are either temporarily out of stock (but can still be ordered) or are available only on a made-to-order basis. Clicking the "Order this Basket" link will open an email window addressed to "orders@nantucketbasketgallery.com." Please describe the basket you would like to order, include your contact details and we will be in touch to discuss the customization of your made-to-order basket. Depending on the complexity of the design and the availability of materials, made-to-order baskets can take between a week to several months to create. Before beginning work on a made-to-order basket we require a 30% non-refundable deposit with the balance due upon completion of the basket.

Payment

Baskets available for immediate purchase may be paid for online using PayPal (read more about PayPal) or if you would prefer to pay by check or money order please email us at orders@nantucketbasketgallery.com. Custom ordered baskets can be paid for by bank check, money order, personal check, or cash (custom orders require a 30% deposit due up-front with the remainder due upon completion of the basket).

Taxes

Baskets purchased in Massachusetts or delivered to a Massachusetts address will be assessed a 5% sales tax.

Return policy

An item may be returned within 7 days of purchase date for a full refund if the item is in its original condition, accompanied by the original sales receipt, and shipped insured in its original packaging (or equivalent) and with delivery confirmation. Please contact us so we can help expedite your return.

*Returned custom-made items are eligible for a refund minus the 30% deposit.

Personalized items and custom ivory are non-refundable. (I.e. ivory nameplates with monograms).
